C&D Night. (Thursday, November 13, 2008)
Choral and Drama Night is over! Thank God. Haha, actually no. The whole C&D Night/Day was pretty fun really. Even Fundraising on Monday was reasonably cool, seeing that we managed to sell everything, yay! Although NY should be sick of bubble tea by now. Ugh. Anyway, went to school yesterday super duper early for a non-school day at 8am. Watched some classes rehearse with some SUPER fierce teachers. Lucky our teacher isn't like that... :/ Never got a chance to watch the Swan Lake thing, sad :( After the rehearsal, the teacher said that he didn't want the newspaper-trees anymore, after all the bloody effort and $$$ put in to make them. Went to Angela's house for lunch, slacked around and watched Money No Enough 2. Supposedly touching. Returned to school for make-up and stuff. And I love eyeliner :DD The actual performance was okay, really. Not many slip-ups or forgetting of lines. But the trees (that's us!) forgot our macho pose and Amitah (spelled Ahmita in the programme line-up booklet- that was a horrible spelling of the name. Names that started with a 'Ah' are just bleh) stumbled over one of her lines for just a nano-second. Supposedly one of our best performances. But every teacher says that once the actual performance is over, really. Even received a rose from Chermain which is really saying something. Goodness, I was a treeeeeeeeeee, hahas. That's what you get to be if you're taller (than average). 106B's 一碗汤 was really good, humorous even. They tortured Avril for a bit there, putting make-up on her, while she clearly protested. C&D turned out to be rather enjoyable actually and I can't believe I just said that. Just spare us heavy, sophisticated plots that turn out cheesy. I really prefer light-hearted comedies like 106B's. Bought textbooks today. I really find IP schools syllabus(s?) a little weird. Why the heck are we doing Sec1 Geography? Then what DID we do last year? Sec2? Very paiseh can, when the Popular staff (@Marine Parade, you see) ask me why I was still doing sec 1 geog. I'm totally looking forward to To Kill A Mockingbird next year but come off it, Romeo and Juliet? We'll all be bored to tears, man. And OMG, Sec THREE Math?!?!?! Kill me, someone :D |
