SYF is over. Wow. BOOM! byebye Stalemate (at least for a while), hello results.-I should really be studying for history blocks but I thought I should record my thoughts and recollections of the amazing day before my memory fails me- Straightened my hair in the morning. The end product didn't look very straight though, I never knew my hair was that curly. Reached school and Siqi gave me two chocolate sticks for good luck ♡. Assembly was. Awkward. We looked like we folded our skirts like about 5000 times. Gathered at heritage centre because it was really warm with our costumes and jacket. Dance studio was finally open, did some make up and this time I didn't even do anything on my own except foundation and lipstick, hah! Not even eyeliner. Moved to Audi changing rooms halfway. Sec 3s gave little good luck gifts and all. Final run of the dance at hall. Then bus ride to UCC. Other schools were very colourful so we stood out, ironically. Sec Ones came along. Covered ears and faced the wall backstage because Liulaoshi said not to get distracted by other schools, which I kind of failed to because I was disgusted/amused at another SYF song. Cheryl waved me back to Stalemate land. Was practicing the front part, walking backwards part when I stepped on Ashley's foot. I was freaking scared okay because Ashley had solo part. Thank goodness. Then it was our turn and it all happened so fast. It was like, "No.68, Nanyang Girls High School, Stalemate..." BOOM! Sudddenly the dance was ending, we threw our cloths, we ran offstage, then back to UCC entrance. NYMD was super high compared to other schools. We were the only ones cheering and everything. Liulaoshi, Ms Yeo, Mrs Teo and Chen Lili laoshi said it was really good. But I know it wasn't my best performance, not in terms of intensity and emotion but in technique! D: Went to Venezia as a whole CCA and messed up their arrangement of tables, hahah :D Ate sour ice cream, lemon and raspberry. Ought to have gotten coconut. Managed to snag some from Karyan. Wiped off make up, Yuxin refused to wear her hairband in front of seniors but was willing to do so in front of an unknown auntie. Results will be out tomorrow and whatever the result, NYMD has achieved higher than any award possible, higher than highest in all our hearts, I believe. NOT A SINGLE OUNCE OF BENCOOLEN SHIT IS GOING INTO MY HEAD. I'm so dead for history blocks. please be easy. can't wait for syf results, good or bad. |
