OK, that quote up there has nothing to do with anybody, other than Hermione Granger, believe it or not.OMG OMG OMG OMG I went out today and bought loads of clothes. Okay, fine. I didn’t. But I did go to PP for dinner and buy a grey shirt for Apologize. I seriously need Salonpas(!) EH Apologize got a lot of neck-work. Anyway, I was thinking about not-so Hilary things I’ve done since the last day of Semester 1. #1 was to listen to Korean pop music. Yeah, I know a lot of people listen to K-pop because very often, you get someone squealing: “OMG, I love DBSK/Super Junior/some hot guy band!!! Don’t-know-what’s-his-name is so hot. (drools)” I’m not making fun of people, OK. It’s just funny sometimes :) everyone has fandoms. Anyway I wasn’t listening to Dogs Rising from the East (I heard Yuxin’s translation for the meaning of DBSK wrongly and it stuck) or Super Junior or a hot guy band. The music is very girly, so I’m sorry, no hot guys! #2 was to read Gossip Girl. I’ve never watched an episode/read one of the novels from the series (until now) though. I went to the library to borrow Chinese books for Chinese SIA and English for leisure reading. I mean, it’s a bit pathetic once you’re reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for 2nd time this holiday, especially if you’re reading it everyday breakfast/lunch/dinner. So I borrowed a ton of Chinese books, Gossip Girl and 2 other more intelligent looking English books. No offence to anyone who loves the novel series, but it really was just crap. The whole book was about sex appeal and in considerable amount of scenes, sex appeal minus the “appeal”. I guess it’s interesting to read about rich brats and how their Gucci purses match perfectly with Dior coats or whatever. I've never been a morally upright Atticus Finch but the sleeping around is a tad too unbelievable. I liked the GossipGirl.net interludes though. It must be interesting to have a gossip site about your peers :) all my criticisms, I’ve devoured 1 and a half books already. I’ve been rather predictable this June though. Apologize/HEARTBEAT/Inspire’09 dance performance tomorrow. |
