Breakfast with Teachers. (Thursday, August 06, 2009)
If you're not retarded you'd be able to make a connection between the title and a particular sentence somewhere in this post :)

Block Test 2 was a horrible experience; what I wouldn't give to do it again. I'm NOT rejoicing over the end of the tests, instead I am mourning for it's departure. Biology was a careless flop today :( I just have a feeling my biology won't turn out too good this term. And I know it when I don't do well. I wish to relive the humanities and biology experience just because I've a bad feeling about history/geog and for science I will be less careless and check more. Funny, isn't it? The subjects that I used to have less problems with become the ones I dread to get back for BT2. I wouldn't retake Chinese because I wouldn't show any improvement anyways, I wouldn't retake LA just because, I wouldn't retake MATH because it was better than expected. But my 'better than expected' just means "OMG TOTALLY FAIL" for other people. I shall learn a lesson from BT2 and start revising for EOY, seriously.

I am moaning and groaning and whining for my block tests 2, like Juliet whines for her Romeo.

AMC was fine. Hey I only guessed 2/5 of the open-ended questions! The rest had some sort of working you know :) better than my horrendous attempt last year which ended up with random guessing of numbers 66, 120, etc. Maybe I will get a higher PARTICIPATION percentage this year.

The Sec 2 cohort got "invited" to watch the screening of Zeffirelli's Romeo & Juliet (1968) at the auditorium. The event was greatly emphasised by Mrs Heng that it was not "compulsory" because the Sec 2 LA teachers don't like to force girls to stay back. I mean, since they're such darling teachers. So I suppose not many people turned up, because the whole thing is available on YouTube. In HD format somemore. Or maybe only her form class never turn up.

Anyway, finished watching on YouTube @ around 5.00pm. It was incredibly boring. Not really the "once you start watching you don't want to stop" movie Mrs Heng described. The fighting scenes are boring, they have to blow the horns for 30 seconds till Prince Escalus comes in and you just watch with your eyes half open until Prince finishes his 30-sec debut. But on YouTube, it's different. You can fast forward :) fast forwarded the Juliet-crying/servants-fighting/Nurse-telling-a-story scenes. Mercutio looked like he was balding idk why.

Tomorrow there will be National Day Celebrations @ NY and we get to go home early. But there is dance and we will be doing a peaceful dance with stockings on our heads. How original and creative can we liulaoshi get :DD

"How on earth am I going to make up an excuse to take food fit for 10 fathers' consumption?!"
