"I don't want to pee alone!" (Sunday, September 13, 2009)
Hello.
Saturday’s esperanza was not bad.

So, I can’t remember if I did anything in the morning, but I doubt so because slacker attitude has since taken over me. Anyway, met half the batch at Venezia for lunch, ate creamy mushroom spaghetti and lemon ice cream, cleverly disguised as coconut ice cream :D haha.

After that, we reported at dance studio and discovered how pretty the costume was. Shihui cut her hair which is very sacrificial and 伟大 on her part because it’s just for one teensy performance like esperanza. Did I hear some complaints when we had to cut our hair for SYF? haha. The costume is seriously pretty and fitting for the dance, anyway.

I think we ran through the dance a few times, and then reported to the auditorium for spacing/lighting rehearsals. Went back to dance studio, put make up, Karyan and I tried to experiment with our own colours for eye shadow again but failed because it was too light and unnoticeable.

Apologise is a sad and solemn (it can be otherwise classified under the extremely broad category of “emo”) dance. The new and improved Apologise has little flashes of colour beneath the pretty gray dress which looks gorgeous but the make up, although it’s really pretty, doesn’t really seem to bring out this solemnity. Pink and blue eye shadow reminds me of NYCD’s SYF’09. But it is still looks lovely.

I can’t remember much about the full dress rehearsal.

Okay, so went to watch the rehearsals of the other performers, didn’t see 青花瓷 but saw Drama @ ACS, a visually impaired gentleman sing and play the piano and a three-man band from HCI. Next, briefing by student organisers and then chicken rice for dinner, with Karyan and Joanne’s squabbling for entertainment.

Touched up make up, took photographs. We learnt from the incidents at Nanyang Glitters and thankfully, there was no “LIPSTICK! WHERE’S THE LIPSTICK?!” nor was there any tissue-calling incidents pertaining to lipstick. Instead, we put lipstick on peacefully without any chaos, with music playing in the background and a plentiful amount of tissue everywhere.

Sec 3s gathered all the dancers in a circle and made it known that they were self-proclaimed bad pep-talkers and that there will be considerably less mushy, hair-raising and tear-jerking little speeches from now on. I haven’t got much opinion on that, since I seem to have some sort of problem expressing emotion, happy or sad. Then the Sec 3s introduced some sort of suggestion scheme, a little awkward because it was so tell-all and upfront.
The performance itself was okay I guess. I don’t know why, but I don’t think the energy was all there. Or maybe it’s just me. But we definitely did well enough :D

Stayed to watch青花瓷 and the stepsister from drama @ ACS.

Last day of the holidays and I don’t think I’ve covered the Physics syllabus in-depth enough. And chemistry, biology, history, geography and math (revision booklet) have been left unrevised. Doing homework is not counted as revision here!

Ugh.
