I am the clown with the tear-away face, (Friday, October 23, 2009)
ISTJs are often called inspectors. They have a keen sense of right and wrong, especially in their area of interest and/or responsibility. They are noted for devotion to duty. ISTJs are very loyal, faithful, and dependable. They place great importance on honesty and integrity. They are "good citizens" who can be depended on to do the right thing for their families and communities. At work, ISTJs get things done on a timely basis. They honor deadlines, and they believe in thoroughness. A half-finished job is not a job well done. They established procedures and schedules, and are uncomfortable with those who do not do the same. While they generally take things very seriously, they also usually have an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun - especially at family or work-related gatherings.

I took three different kinds of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator based quizzes (yes that's how bored I am) and all results turned out to be ISTJ. Oh well I like the offbeat sense of humour part. I like to think that I'm funny although most of the time I'm probably not. The name Hilary derives from the word hilarious.

Drama for the past two days seemed to be a complete waste of time but I attended both sessions (except for dance in the morning); about half the class went yesterday and one-fourths today. Therefore, we had a serious lack of crew and the Theatre Club people were pretty much exasperated and annoyed with us; they even gave us 15 minutes more to sort out because they could foresee that we would just screw up on the actual day and decided to let us use the stage for a while more. That's how bad we were, gosh and it's not even anyone's fault.

Dance today was quite fun because LIUlaoshi didn't really focus much on HePing but more on 'restoring' our technique and teaching new combinations, which were primarily flowy; I like. But HePing is like really messy now without seniors and there're a lot of issues with props and partners. Oh no where's all our glittery paper now anyway?

There will be an annoying echo in the hall. (this is bad for dance which requires music and even worse for music performances) The hall's stage is delightfully sticky too bad it's not a confectionary. We'll be rolling and twisting around on that very stage, too. The hall gives out an informal, don't-need-to-pay-attention kind of vibe like Chinese New Year/Teachers' Day kind of celebrations. I think FOA was originally scheduled to be held in the auditorium. The auditorium, albeit its size, exudes grandeur and elegance. Okay I may be exaggerating but the atmosphere is undeniably so much more desirable. If they can book it for DramaFest, councillor activities at the beginning of the year and stupid things like speeches, why can't it be booked for FOA? DramaFest may be important to the theatre club, some councillors ceremony may be important to the different school leaders, speeches may be deemed important for both staff and students. And FOA, where people from the performing arts CCAs get to showcase their talents (okay maybe hobbies lah) and it's something we enjoy. Then they give us some substandard performing venue just so that the whole school can watch it.

Look maybe I just have a prejudice against places without air-conditioning after spending too much time in the rooftop hall (the hall is worse than the rooftop version of it, in fact). The weather is disgusting; didn't you know that over-humidity is fatal? I bet no one has ever seen me this passionate about dance before but the issue here isn't really about dance; but more my detestment towards the halls, rooftop or not. Poor Sec 3s have to take their exams in the freaking hall, if this happens next year I demand an explanation for such decisions! Even in classrooms with 6 ceiling fans, we have invigilators fanning themselves with any scrap of paper they can land their hands on and now it is announced that students are forced to take exams in the unforgiving heat of the hall? The environment affects the results, in case our school of experienced educators didn't know. The school probably has its reasons but whatever. I just like writing about anything.

Anyway today I watched two entire playlists worth of Happy Tree Friends and continued reading the plots of various horror movies, which was what kept me entertained yesterday. I even ventured into watching the trailers of old horror/suspense flicks (like those 1970s-80s ones) because the older ones are less realistic = less freaky. And now I listened to the soundtrack of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Okay fine that is not a horror flick but still, the ghoulish theme remains.

I just went to the study and took out Hannibal right under my father's nose but yeah he doesn't mind. Yay something else to read besides Harry Potter. Going to scare myself silly this week.

Time to restore the Hall of Slackers to conclude the year?
