'Oprah will always be the queen of daytime televison and she also said she was leaving me all her money. I was, like, 'God thanks, Oprah!'.My Sec 3 books stare at me from their shelf above, book covers (re-used) and all; with the exception of the fathomless and fatal poetry. Okay, I think ‘fatal’ is the closest synonym for deep that starts with an ‘f’. I would hardly be described as eager to begin 2010, although I’m so bored that I just might start reading Macbeth. I recently am in the mood to do nothing, not even writing posts. There doesn’t seem to be anything to write about anymore. I lead a sadly mundane life that the most interesting thing to happen recently was that I watched Ice Age 3 last night. The disc was faulty (slightly). Perhaps I’m ditching all my pride and finally succumbing to trends. People turn to drastic actions to relieve boredom. I tried to look for Gossip Girl episodes, since I sometimes read the series, but could find none that didn’t require downloading files. So in the end, I stress that I did not watch Gossip Girl. HAH! Another sign of relenting under the pressure of trends was the temptation to rent Twilight (yes Twilight, I’m about the only teenage girl left on Earth that has not watched it) from the DVD shop. Obviously I didn’t in the end. Letting myself be seen in public holding any form of the Twilight books and/or merchandise is way too much of a drawback. However, if I make it for the class outing, which I can’t, unless they change :(, I would have to watch New Moon! Then I’m going back on my word to boycott any Twilight-related objects or events! I might just go into 313, hating it. I don’t mean to be an all-round bitch (no actually I do) but let’s just hope I’m wrong. I promise to mug next year though. Sec 3 looks scarily stressful. NYAA looks mightily moronic; there’s not a single part of me that wants to learn a skill or do physical recreation for 6 months. Other than the nice portfolio-boost, I don’t really see the purpose for this award. All that about helping our community and improving oneself; do you really think anyone takes it seriously? I don’t see how library work is going to improve myself. Work experience? Well I hope my first work experience will not be that of a librarian. Librarians are nice people and all but I don’t really aim to be one, you see. |
