Hello, today I actually didn’t do much, except to complete the LIN worksheet and some Math Revision Indices.
Yesterday was Nanyang Glitters.
Reporting time at 0830; got changed into costume and Sec 2s and 3s went to for lighting rehearsal. Sec 4s came later; ate lunch; applied make up. The recent make up applications have been vastly different from the first full dress rehearsal. Look, we don’t even want to ask for the specified colours. After experimenting with white base + brown + black + blue + purple, we still couldn’t get the specified colour so there was no choice but to get from seniors. I proceeded to do some Chinese homework. Lipstick frenzy 5 min before the performance resulted in a mad rush for lipstick application backstage and tissue-calling.
Matinee performance was definitely not our best; complications arose immediately before and during the performance. NYMD was fawning over Zoe Tay, waving to her as she walked past us backstage. No one gave a hoot about Sherry Tan (陈秀环) , but apparently she was quite popular in the 80s, so we only don’t know her because her appeal isn’t towards our generation. Some batchmates got Zoe Tay’s signature.
Doughnut and Milo (gives us courage!) for tea break, did some more Chinese homework in the dance studio before giving in to the allure of card games, although I only knew how to play one card game beforehand. Touched up make up; Sec 4s decided to teach the Sec 2s Jerk It Out from the Mr Raj generation. It’s apparent that I have the slowest mind and reaction in NYMD because I can’t get steps fast, although I admit that I wasn’t totally focused.
Then someone came in and said, “Zoe Tay is ready for you.” And screams erupted and people rushed for paper and pen and cameras. Somewhere in this frenzy, some people exclaimed, “How about make up? We haven’t put lipstick yet! Make up is more important!” Their concerns were replied with haste, “Zoe Tay is more important!” *I’m not expressing disapproval, I just thought it was funny and totally ridiculous:D

Okay, tomorrow will be entirely dedicated to homework, I’m going to complete the Passion speech and do Physics revision.
NYMD BTFABTAO-ed.
